Weather looks questionable for Saturday Star Party

Hi all!  We currently have a star party scheduled for 5:00pm at the Jaycee Ball Field on N. Grove in Mora, MN.  Right now, however, the forecast is calling for a 30% chance of snow and mostly cloudy skies.  If that is accurate and it doesn't look like it will clear up, I will post to the blog, Twitter, and send out an email by 3:00pm so that you have time to make other plans for the evening.

Here's hoping the forecast is wrong!
Jim

  1. We are expecting snow overnight here in Northwest Indiana, and with a possibility of additional lake effect snow. If we get the lake effect, your picture might be an accurate portrayal of conditions here! Hopefully the system will shift south, and you can have a successful star party. Good luck!

  2. That is seriously scary snow stuff in that picture Jim. Is that in Mora? Are you and your scopes buried in the fluffy whiteness? Tea and scones to hold you over? You are indeed a die hard!!!!!

  3. Hey just so you know Rich, the Leviathan's optical tube makes for a radical snow chute slide! Good thing I didn't get that part sent back to Ireland yet! ;)
